Wolf Moon, Lunar Eclipse and first full Moon of 2020

Dated: January 11 2020

I did not hear any wolves howling last night as that is how this type of full moon received it’s name from the natives but what I did notice is an overwhelming feeling of relief from the past. Not to mention the weather holding threats of tornadoes and thunder/lightening storms. The energy in the air was definitely stirred up. The eclipse was not visible from North America. Based on the Moon cycles today marks the first day of 2020 and the 13 full Moons of the year started with yesterday’s full Moon. This is a bitter sweet year for me as my 33rd is coming to a close and as the Chinese Moon calendar cycles back around to it’s first animal, on my birthday January 25th 2020, it will be the year of the Rat. The day before on January 24th is the first New Moon of 2020. All of this is going on as my wife is in her 32nd week of her pregnancy and we will be looking forward to our first born. There have been many alignments within the last couple of years and I would have to say most of them have come in 2019. I am excited to see what all 2020 has in store, especially the addition to my family. This is the first of many Moon posts and I look forward to growing this blog as I walk through life paying more attention to the Moon!
